Lou Ferrigno on Venice Beach

We stayed at the Cadillac Hotel, which for the bodybuilding fan is ideally located on Venice Beach; it is two blocks from the Firehouse Restaurant and only a few more blocks from Muscle Beach and Gold’s Gym Venice the Mecca of Bodybuilding too. And even better, it was right next to a film production set that was shooting a scene with the Incredible Hulk, Lou Ferrigno! The movie is called “I Love You, Man!”

  • I've definitely heard of the famous Firehouse and enjoyed tales of Gold's Gym Venice all through my teen years courtesy of Muscle Builder Power magazine and then Muscle & Fitness. Never heard of the Cadillac Hotel until now. Sounds like the perfect location. I seem to recall a bodybuilder Bucci, Joe Bucci? Thought he had a bed and breakfast in that area years ago. Great pic of "Big Louie!" :)

  • No, I had a couple extra days in Los Angeles and chose to spend it at Venice Beach!
